The humidity has been unbearable this summer…and I was very happy to say the least once the weather became more pleasurable throughout this week. Today I even caught an occasional breeze 🙂
I am highly anticipating Fall this year and realized that September is right around the corner…After sifting through my huge closet of inventory I pulled out a few vintage coats to introduce the Fall Sneak Peak…enjoy!

perfect lemonade recipe…

I discovered these photos today…although taken a while back, these images are very summery and somehow  remind me of my childhood favorite…homemade lemonade.
  • 1 cup sugar (can reduce to 3/4 cup)
  • 1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)

1 Make simple syrup by heating the sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved completely.
2 While the sugar is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice.
3 Add the juice and the sugar water to a pitcher. Add 3 to 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes. If the lemonade is a little sweet for your taste, add a little more straight lemon juice to it.
Serve with ice, sliced lemons.

clogs state of mind…

CLOGS CRAZE

Lately I have been very obsessed with finding the perfect pair of clogs to wear with my summer dresses and skirts…I remember I had a fantastic white leather pair in Middle School…and believe it or not I was considered a nerd for wearing them..oh how times have changed 🙂
Here are a few that I absolutely love…especially the Mui Mui floral print pair!

much much more…

I’m a little late… but I just purchased a 2010 calender yesterday and was excited to discover that Daylight Saving Time actually begins next week? This is fantastic new’s for me, since I adore ‘longer’ days which is traditionally accompanied with much warmer weather.
The winter is fastly leaving and I couldn’t be much happier!
I’m ready for easy-breezy cotton summer dresses and frequent evening trips to Dairy Queen for strawberry sundaes…
As for the Mod store… I’ve added a bunch of GOREGOUS retro handbags that will look classic worn in the Spring/Summer… another way to describe them…simply TO.DIE.FOR (in my Rachel Zoe voice)
🙂
